[DNG 6.0.3] Link Across Project Areas in two separate RM Instances - Configuration Mgmt

 Hello All,


We have two RM instances
  1. RM1 -> has project area p1
  2. RM2 -> has project area p2
Both the instances are connected to the same JTS. Now we have a use case that we have to link requirements from p2->p1.

Since we have configuration management enabled we have created a GC Stream with configuration(s) from both the project area.
 For EG:
p1+p2 PROJECT GC STREAM
  • p1 DNG Stream
  • p2 DNG Stream
We have linked across project areas in one RM instance with Config Mgmt enabled is it not possible to link across two RM instances?

Yes it's possible when (1) the steam you are linking from and the stream or baseline in the other project area on the other sever are part of the same global configuration; and (2) you use a link type that's supported when linking across DNG servers. You may wish to follow the plan item in the current release under development to support custom link types across servers).
