Can we have several RM (or QM, CCM) applications on different servers with one the same JTS server?

Dmitry Lapygin asks:

Hi, could we have several RM (or QM, CCM) applications on different servers with one the same JTS server?
So, we can use only one-to-one connections between JTS and other applications or one-to-many also available? F.e., can we have 2 RM servers connected with the same JTS server?

Yes you can have multiple RM, QM, CCM applications using one JTS.  Each has its own namespace (URL).

Additionally you can cluster CCM applications (which share a name space and is invisible to users).

I'm not aware of any other essential considerations, but I have not done this configuration myself.  I suggest you check the Deployment wiki here on jazz.net, and perhaps someone else will add their perspective here.

Let me also mention that we are recommending WebSphere Liberty as the preferred app server beginning with 6.0.5 (Tomcat is still supported). Since the majority of our testing and development of advanced features are being done with Liberty, it would be good for you to consider moving to Liberty eventually.

https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/PlanForMultipleJazzAppInstances explains the considerations a bit.

Installing multiple RM's,QM's, CCM's (not as cluster) basically require to install the additional applications with their own unique context root. E.g. install additional RM's as https://myserver/rm01, https://myserver/rm02 or qm: https://myserver/qm01, https://myserver/qm02 . The apps need to be registered to JTS like any other app.

Thanks Daniel!

Could you provide more details or link on documentation? What else we should change in addition to URI? We use tomcat now, should we change configuration for tomcat to use 2 RM applications with the same JTS?
