Dashboard to see test cases were not run through iteration

Thao Nguyen (37334) | asked Jan 10 '18, 4:37 a.m.

Could you advise following situation?
- We have 100 test cases supported for one product, called TC1, TC2,..TC100
- During development, we have several iterations to be tested. Some test cases (around 80 test cases) were planned and tested with result. May have more than 100 TCERs as one TC can be tested in many iterations

How can i see in any query/dashboard remaining test cases that were never tested through iterations?

This is useful for us to review what we did not plan and cover in last merge to ensure we have enough test case coverage

Create TCERS for all the required test cases for a particular iteration. Now open browse TCER table and create a query whether iteration == given iteration and last result == not run. This will give you which TCERS are not run for a particular iteration. Save the query as Shared Query. Now you can add test artifact or test statistics dashboard widget and use this newly created query in those dash board widget

Thanks Subajit, this view bases on TCER, not base on TC.

I meant, query may result 500 TCER, but several TCERs in this query related to only one TC, so through all iterations, we actually just used 80 TCs (even 500 TCERs).

Remaining "Not Run" TCs (support for one specific product) need to be highlighted to ensure either we ran through all supported TCs for that product or we need to run them in coming iterations

I tried with TC view to see TCs which are not included in any test plan, however, seem it is simple filter: "In any test plan/Not in any test plan" of all iterations we created not iterations that we filter (details in notes at the bottom). I think my goal can be achieve if this issue is fixed. Do we have any advices on this?

P/S: In TC view, Test Plan column lists all iterations of all products even though i filter them out with one column (category) to display only iteration for one specific product. Look like an issue?
