Hello Vasanthakumari,

the description of a work item is not stored into the data warehouse because its large size could cause performance and database space usage issues. The same decision was done for most of the fields above 1000 characters.

Note that it is possible to add custom columns (Description) for work item in the data warehouse by using Rational Insight development tools, if you can accept performance degradation as Francesco mentioned.
