How to remove RQM from existing CLM linked applications?

Hello,

My client uses RQM sharing JTS with RTC. The version is 3.0.1. They plan to upgrade CLM to 6.0.x and to stop using RQM in 6.0.x.

  • In this case, how to remove RQM from existing environment?
  • At first, remove association between RQM and RTC by removing RQM project areas from lifecycle projects, and then remove RQM form JTS's registered applications?
  • Existing link between RTC's elements and RQM's artifacts must be broken? There is no way to avoid this?

If you are going to remove RQM from the environment, how could links with RQM artifacts not be broken?   (There would no longer be any RQM artifacts to link to).

For example, when remove its project association with RQM, all links between RTC elements (workitem , plan and so on ) and RQM elements ( testcase , execution record , test plan etc) are also remove. In this case, links with RQM artifacts not be "broken".

Registering or deregistering an RQM application does not modify any of the links stored in the RQM artifacts (or links pointing to those RQM artifacts).   But you stated that they will "stop using" RQM.   If by "stop using", you just meant they will not be creating new RQM artifacts and links, but still want access to the existing RQM artifacts and/or links, then they must keep RQM in their environment.   If they deregister RQM, then they no longer will have access to those existing artifacts and/or links.
