After changing the jazz groups to new groups I have problems with some users. Does any one knows what to problem is

I started out by using one set of groups for jazz the jazz groups and everything worked fine.
Then I changed the groups to another set of groups.
I changed the groups in the webshpere security section and changes the jts jazz groups to those new groups.
Then I went into jts and changed the security groups to the new groups

People can login with a browser, but when using an application that uses the rest api to login we get a authetication error

 Have you checked out the instructions to enable the  server side authentication?
