Change Domain with Jazz 5.0.2 / WAS 8.5.5 - Same user accounts

Tarik Mahfoudi (611) | asked Aug 02 '17, 1:38 p.m.

 Hello All,

I have been tasked to change the domain where Jazz currently resides, we have JTS, CCM, DNG, QM, and JRS running and the customer wants this development environment to have a centrally managed LDAP.

I have run into problems with this in the past where when I import the users (in early versions of Jazz) it duplicates the users with upper or lower case user IDs.  Is there a good way to do this?

This required a lot of work on the back end removing the duplicate users from Jazz.

Any suggestion is a great help.

Thanks,
Tarik

If you want to change the user registry, you basically have to make sure the correct user ID's are provided in the new registry. Correct meaning, ID matches with case sensitivity. You can modify the ID's to make sure they match. See https://rsjazz.wordpress.com/2012/10/12/changing-the-jazz-user-id-using-the-rtc-plain-java-client-libraries/
