Upgrade OS from 2008 R2 standard to 2012 on CLM 502 server

 Hi,

We have following environment for CLM
CLM version : 5.0.2
WAS : 8.0
Java 1.6 (Life cycle support end on April 2018)
OS : windows 2008 R2 (Life cycle support ended on Jan 2015)

We are in a process to upgrade java 1.6 but 1.7 of java will not support for CLM 5.0.2 version hence I need to upgrade CLM 6.0.3 at least to get Java 1.7 so that my product will be in safe.

Even I need to upgrade OS to windows 2012 as windows 2008 end of lifecycle ended on Jan 2015 and also java 1.7 system requirement is windows 2012 so I can't do in my existing environment.

We are planing to migrate CLM 5.0.2 from windows 2008 to windows 2012 server.
         a) IN-PLACE upgrade is not possible. System admin provide new VM with 2012 OS. In this case what is the best way to migrate my CLM 5.0.2 along with WAS 8.0 ?
   b) I requested system admin to provide same DNS name so there is no public URL change.
   c) Any impacts and issues that we know ?

Please suggest me best way to migrate existing CLM 5.0.2 and WAS 8.0 to new VM 2012 OS? we may upgrade CLM 6.0.3 and WAS 8.5.5 along with java later.

NOTE: File system backup and restore in windows 2012 VM works fine as we are not changing anything on Oracle DB.

Thanks,
