Follow these steps:

1/ Create a project area, go to the administration and delete all work-item types >> Save.
2/ Click on "explore project" - you will reach its dashboard
3/ Open the work-item menu. You don't have to select anything in it.

The exception occurs at this stage.

4/  Find the below stack in the CCM logs,

Arun,
what are you trying to achieve by emptying the project area of all work item types?

Based on the above usecase, there must be a work item type defined.

The workaround is to create a work item type called "Not Available" and change the permissions to not allow anyone to create work items or queries.
