How do I restore original sort order for data in a DOORS Next Gen module?

A Locke (3939) | asked Jul 08 '17, 10:35 p.m.

(1) After importing requirements from MS Word, all information displayed correctly
(2) I created a few custom attributes with no problems
(3) I selected an attribute column header to change sort order with no problems
(4) I have been trying to restore the original sort order, without success. The "SECTION" attribute seems to contain the correct sort information, but that header is NOT SELECTABLE.

How do I restore the original sort order for data in a DOORS Next Gen (v6.0.4) module?

After several hours, I stumbled on the answer.
The header button cycles through three options (not the normal two options): Sort ascending, Sort descending, and "Turn off sort".
Almost all operations on the module are disabled while the data is sorted - which confused the problem.
Hope this information helps someone....

I guess my method is equivalent (in V6.0.5):

when closing the sorted module avoid saving the View changes,
then on re-opening the original order is displayed.
