Addressing Collaborator links in RTC workitems due to server rename.

Norman Dignard (356688168) | asked Apr 13 '17, 11:00 a.m.

We're upgrading to 602 doing a server rename in the process for both JAZZ and SmartBear Collaborator.

(We are using the RTC-Collab integration). We're address the rename implications on the Collab side by correcting its URL references to the old JAZZ name to its new one.  Collab to RTC link navigation works.

The problem we have is on the RTC side, the Work item links to Collab review records still point to the old Collab URL.

Has anyone had similar problems and how did you correct for this?

The RTC server rename operations doesn't seem to account for this.

We had various Collaborator URLs changed in the rename mappings file:

eg:

source=http://jazzweb.deveng.local:8080/go,2754,68

target=https://jazz.navcanada.ca/sb,2754,68

target=https://jazz.navcanada.ca/sb,2754,68

 I am not sure if your use case is supported by server rename. I would suggest to get in contact with support to clarify that and get hints about what is supported. You need to contact support the get a server rename key anyway. Did you mention Collaborator back then?

Already have a PMR with support on this to see what can be done on the RTC side.
