Is there any harm in going with GIT as SCM repository along with RTC

 Hi Team,

We have been working with a customer where the initial proposal was to go with Rational Solution. (RTC for SCM, BuildForge, RFT, RPT and UCD)

Lately got to know that for SCM they would like to go with GIT and use remaining features of RTC. (Work item, Planning etc)

Can anyone suggest on the best practice to go about here.

There is already a fully functional integration of git with RTC. See https://hub.jazz.net/clmhelp/topic/com.ibm.team.connector.cq.doc/topics/c_integ_git.html for more detail.

Having discussed with the project team, one point which stricken is as below

Git being an open source product and RTC being vendor one it is better to get confirmation from IBM if they
provide support for both GIT and RTC for the future release as well.
