migrate from rtc to git

ju ho (1113) | asked Mar 01 '17, 11:33 a.m.

Is there any way to migrate from Jazz RTC to GIT?

Or any other vcs for that matter?

Our client forces us to switch and we want to take the history with us when we migrate.

Tools like rtc2git do not work for us they create empty git repositorys because of merge conflicts or just fail and they all take hours to run.

is there any Jazz aproved way of migrating away from rtc?

I don't think RTC provides any tool to migrate the source code to other version control utility such as Git.

rtc2git is a Python script which is based on RTC command line. If it doesn't work for you, you can consider to optimize the code to handle conflict.
