BuildForge_ServicesException[0]: 111: Connection refused - Port 3966

Hi

We have installed 2 Build Forge environments on Linux 7.

However we are having problems with one of them . When we start the application this message is being displayed on login screen.

BuildForge_ServicesException[0]: 111: Connection refused

A DBA reviewed db2 instance and he didn't find any issue.

From apache logs we find:

[Mon Nov 21 16:35:41 2016] [error] [client IP] PHP Warning: fsockopen() [<a href='function.fsockopen'>function.fsockopen</a>]: unable to connect to hostIP:3966 (Connection refused)
in /opt/IBM/buildforge/webroot/includes/BuildForge/Services.php on line 539
[Mon Nov 21 16:35:41 2016] [error] [client IP] PHP Warning: stream_set_blocking() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /opt/IBM/buildforge/webroot/includes/BuildForge/Se
rvices.php on line 540
If we do a telnet we are able to connect to the server where BF works well on port 3996.
If we try the same on the server with the problem the connection is refused.

Firewalls have been disabled in both servers.

We think probably an apache process is not starting up correctly as we find more apache processes active on the server working properly.

Any ideas or recommendations?

Thanks.

I suggest you contact Support for this. I have found a few cases with the same error reported to IBM in the past, and all of them required the Support Engineer to go through configuration files, DB client installation, and even some values in the DB in order to sort it out. In other words, it can be a long process and more than a few words on the forum.
