How do you use RPE with DNG Streams?

David Clark (2341150) | asked Nov 10 '16, 10:12 a.m.
I have a successful RPE template working with DNG from the root stream - let's call it the trunk.

I have created a stream  (branch) from the trunk and want to generate a document from it. The output does have the changed module level attributes, however the modified artifacts (text and images) are NOT the ones from the stream. They are the original version of the artifacts.

What am I missing?

Thanks,

After plagiarizing the ModuleBook template in RPE, I am successfully getting stream and changeset data out.

Trying to follow the instructions, but nothing shows up in the Resource Selection dialog.

Hi David,

Which version of RPE you are using to generate the DNG data ?

To generate the document from a particular stream, the configuration URI of corresponding stream needs to be provided in the Configuration-Context property in docspec ( for desktop client)
The Global configuration/Local configuration stream can be searched using the "OSLC Service Discovery and Selection wizard " in the docspec by right clicking  on the data source and select OSLC Configuration Selection option
http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SS6RHZ_2.1.0/com.ibm.rational.pe.publishing.doc/topics/t_globalconfig.html

If you are using the web document builder, the stream/configuration can be searched from "Configuration" field available in the "Add data source connection" page.
http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SS6RHZ_2.1.0/com.ibm.rational.pe.web.doc/topics/t_config_aware.html

In addition to the above, you may also take a look at the below video tutorial as well

I resolved the missing OSLC items, but how do I make the report generation from the DNG > Reports use the correct Configuration-Context? This appears to be specific to a stream or a changeset.
