I am trying to create a backup of DOORSNG project on a daily/weekly basis so that I can restore the previous version , if i made any mistakes at some point of time. Please let me know how to do this.

As far as I can tell, you can not backup a single project, you can only backup the full solution. See https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/BackupCLM
