Setup RTC, RQM 2.0 running on one tomcat - possible?

Hi,

trying to reduce the footprint for demo systems I installed RQM and RTC 2.0 on one Tomcat. I followed http://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/InstallingMultipleJazzWARs and http://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/MultipleJazzWarsScenarios which I happened to find in one post.

I failed. The server starts OK, no complaints after I moved some provision_profiles for RQM also into the provision_profiles for RTC. Administration seems to be working OK, but the application does not work. See summary below.

Should I expect it to be working?

Scenario Summary:

RQM is deployed as rqm.war, RTC is deployed as jazz.war.
(I tried the other way around once, but was not successful either)

I started with RTC's jazz war not being deployed and was able to log in and administer RQM successfully. I was able to create a project area too.

If I try to open that project area but can't do that. Symptoms are:
The project area overview screen looks weird - icons are not displayed etc. and I end up in the tomcat console.

I deployed RTC hoping that this would make a difference and it does - not the one I hoped for though.

I can setup and administer RTC just fine - I see the project area from the other repository, the rtc licenses are active, only that the RTC server says it is a RQM server.

Once I try to access the projects i either get a 404 at https://jazz-server:9443/jazz/web

If i try other ways e.g. select Project Areas I can see my expected project area (This time the Project Area selection screen looks as expected). If I select the project area and open it I end up getting:

You have successfully logged into Jazz Team Server but you are not authorized to access Rational Quality Manager.

Contact your Jazz Team Server Administrator to learn how to get access.

Return to the Log In screen.

This works with later versions of RTC. Closing this thread.

Found this technote http://jazz.net/library/technote/304 .
CALM integration between RTC and RQM requires running on two hosts until next service release. I am probably asking for too much if I try to even host them in one tomcat.

Thanks,

Ralph

I followed the instructions in the technote http://jazz.net/library/technote/304 however i hit a problem when i tried to Execute Step 11 which is "Do the same for RQM Project. The link from RQM to RTC is called Tested"

The only links i have existing in my RTC are Tested by, Tests, Validated by, Validates, Implemented by and Implements. I tried using the tested by but does not work neither does the Tests.

Please let me know if this link can be executed another way. I'm using the V2.0 for both RQM and RTC

Thanks.

It's a typo. The link should be Tests.
Did you get any error message? What do you mean "it does not work"?

Despite this thread I got no additional feedback.
To make sure what I was trying to do is install two Jazz based solutions RTC and RQM into one Apache.

It is possible to do a side by side installation where RTC and RQM run in a separate application server. However some information I found pointed out that the cross product integration seems to require different host names to set up the trusted relationship between both products to work properly.

I should have added that this is, as per the document, a known issue intended to be fixed in the next srvice release e.g. RTC 2.0.0.1.

Is there a confirmed release date yet for RTC 2.0.0.1?

From the plan at https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.apt.viewPlan&page=overview&id=_CULnUHCzEd6pX_IVIr8p8w

it looks like 11th September 2009?
