why RQM project area is not showing up from RFT Adapter

Hi,

We are trying to connect to the RQM project area using RFT (Rational Functional Tester) adapter from RFT server. Have verified all the required permission (the user permission, license , adapter running as administrator etc) level but still don't understand why it is not getting connected.

Attached is the snapshot of the same and any suggestion would be of great help.

Note : we have our CLM application (CCM, QM and RM) version 6.0.1 running on Linux OS and RFT (included with RTW) version 8.6.0.6  is running on Windows Server 2012 R2.
Since both the machine belong to the same subnet we are able to communicate each other without any issues.

Finally our team has sorted out this to be an issue with certificate only.

This was related to RFT 8.6.0.6 being sensitive to the self signed certificate presented by RQM.

Here is the IBM technote which explain the same:

Hi,

Finally we have to try another method by navigating to the RFT install path and running the adapter manually using a command window.

Here also we could not get pass the error as it give the same connection issue again.

attached is the snapshot of the same. It invoked the adapter window with pre- populated project area name when click on start adapter it fail again. Let us know if there is anything else to tried out.

Do you think this is with respect to our configuration as RQM application is running on Linux Server and RFT running on Windows Server 2012 ?

investigating further I found there are multiple folder for adapter config.

adapter_path1

Secondly I found the below path and assume that this would be the one which we use for configuration

adapter_path2

when ran the above .exe it throw the below error

adapter_path3

Googling around found a solution, following the same could bypass the error

adpater_4

Finally could install as a service

adpater5
But the service doesn't get start. Infact I plan to use the first from the above path.
