How do I add a Comment Column to a plan view?
You can add a Comment Column to a query output and it shows the last comment. This is very helpful. I'd like to be able to see that column in my plan view, but I can't figure out how to add it. I went into the Process Configuration and tried to add "comment" as a Plan attribute, but I can't find it there... any ideas? |

A comment is not an attribute, it is a collection of comments which can be reasonably big. The comments information is not available in planning. As far as I can tell, you can neither add them as an attribute in the attribute mapping, nor add them otherwise as column in plans.

If you just want a list of comments, you can create a custom query to display exactly the work items on the plan, and you can easily display comments in a column in a query, just add the "comments" data field to the column display.
Then if you save the query and click the "view full printable result set", you can see all comments on a workitem in the column, not just the last one.

James,
We talking RTC? which Version are you using?
I'm not sure in V4 that it's possible in the Plan View; however you can add to a Query and use that to populate a Dashboard. so you just the plan / Widget to get the data.
someone else may have an answer for V5 or V6.

I looked into 6.0.1 and it is impossible and likely never will be possible.
