Work Item type not listing in JRS

Vidya Jothiraman (3513) | asked May 09 '16, 7:05 a.m.
Hi

While trying to build a report in JRS, after selecting "Build a new report from Scratch" in the next window which comes where we need to select the work item type (under Change and Configuration Management), the list of work item types are not visible for users.

Since I have JazzAdmin role I am able to see that. I have given "Report Manager" Access also.

Any idea what could be wrong?

I need some more info first:

What version of Report Builder are you using?

Are you creating a Data Warehouse report or an LQE based report?

In the "Choose artifacts" section is the main "Work Item" type visible?

The "Work Item" type typically has a list of specific types beneath it in the artifacts section. Is it this list of types that are missing?

Ensure your connection to the data source is good. In the Report Builder editor (choose report type section), click on the data source name (a link) which should open the editor for that data source. Click on the Test Connection button to ensure RB can communicate with that data source. If the connection is good, then click the Refresh button. This should reload the meta-data from that data source into Report Builder. That meta-data is needed for the report editor.

The list of specific work items types for a DW report are obtained by running a query against the DW data source. However, this query is restricted to the access control mechanism within the data warehouse.

If the user that is logged into Report Builder is not a member of the RTC projects, then the query will not find any readable Work Item resources and hence no work item types are returned by the query.

If this is not the case, then check the rs.log file for an error.

Hi Kevin

In jts-etl-driver.log I could see this error :
15:21:06,660 [                   Thread-2766] ERROR tional.drivers.jdbc.xml.internal.PageFetcherThread  - com.ibm.rational.etl.common.exception.ETLException: com.ibm.rational.etl.common.exception.ETLException: com.ibm.rational.dataservices.client.auth.AuthenticationException: CRRRE1404E: The user or password is invalid. Please provide a valid user name and the correct password.

Though in all data collection jobs, i have updated the user id and password correctly. Not sure which user this is looking for.
