Require a report in RDNG/RQM/Insight which will give the execution result for the requirements.

Maxim Albuquerque (1538) | asked Apr 26 '16, 8:51 a.m.

Scenario1:
Requirement A in RDNG is linked to TC 1, TC 2, TC 3.
TC 1 : Execution Result is Pass
TC 2 : Execution Result is Pass
TC 3 : Execution Result is Fail. Defect A1 has been filed
Ideally the requirement should fail because of TC 3 and Defect A1.

Scenario2:
Requirement B in RDNG is linked to TC 4, TC 5, TC 6.
TC 1 : Execution Result is Pass
TC 2 : Execution Result is Fail. Defect A1 has been filed
TC 3 : Execution Result is Fail. Defect A2 has been filed
Ideally the requirement should fail because of both TC2 and TC 3 and Defect A1, A2.

I need reports for the following :
• Require a Requirements Execution Report to be configured in a tabular format such that
- It should show the Pass/Fail status for the requirements.
- Should show the corresponding test cases failed.
- Should show the corresponding defects logged.

• Require a Requirement Execution Report which shows only the overall Pass/Fail/Blocked/etc. result.
• Require a Trend Chart of how many Requirements Pass/Failed for a particular date range.

Assumptions/Other Needs:
Assuming that if a certain test case fails or is blocked, the requirement should be failed/block
The report should be completely configurable. Filter by Attributes should be possible.
Corresponding Test Plan/Test Suite should be able to be selected.

 Maxim,
Have you used the Report Builder that comes with the Jazz Reporting Service? Although all of these options wouldn't be out of the box reports, you should be able to easily build these reports with that tool.

Do you mean Insight.

It's difficult to create a report without knowledge of cognos

No, the Report Builder is a much lighter weight tool that is far easier to use and doesn't require Cognos knowledge, unlike Insight.   If your team doesn't have this installed, I'd recommend you check it out!

We don't have the Report Builder, any view as to how I can do that using Insight
