Reached the user limit for the server?

Hi,

I am running 2.0 Enterprise Server. When I go into "manage users" to assign a user a developer client access license I receive this message:

Warning: The server has reached the maximum user limit. You will not be able to increase the number of users that are assigned a Client Access License type that is counted in the server user limit.

I currently have 250 contributor and 155 developer client licenses yet I am unable to assign any more than 3. I am running Enterprise server and have applied the enterprise release jar.

Please advise.

Will do. I just noticed another thread with the identical problem.

Here is the link to the defect

This is the same issue as "Setup Wizard and User Creation page doesn't handle server = unlimited and cal=unlimited case" (87386). The work around is to use the Eclipse UI or downgrade to a standard license on the server.

So, I am now able to assign user CALs in the shell but not in the web client. Glad to know there is a workaround.

Hi Bryan

This sounds like there is something else going on. There are no limits on the number of developers coded into the server-side for the Enterprise version (this is different to the number of developer licenses you have). I recommend you raise this as a defect so it can be checked out. Post the defect# back here too please - so we can follow this.
