Removed a custom work item type but how do we remove the permissions?

We are using CLM 4.0.6 and in a customized Agile template a new work item type was created, tested and then determined to be not required.  The custom work item type has been removed but we still see permissions for the attributes that went into that custom work item type now removed. How can we make those permission go away?

I tested with v601 and with "Create a work item of Specific Type" permission
and see that the permission is removed as soon as the type is deleted...

could you share which specific permission you are referring to...

The permissions that we still see are referring to the specific custom attributes that were defined within the work item type that has been removed. For example, one of them is "Modify a UWW Number", which was a custom attribute that is no longer accessible.

We had similar concerns in v3.0.x and confirmed that even though a custom attribute is deleted, permission entries: 'modify the xxx attribute' for that custom attribute will stay. here is more explanation on why this is "working as designed"
