Automating server rename (production to staging scenario)

Does anyone have any experience automating server rename (production to staging scenario)?

Running server rename manually takes a few hours of work (and some hours of unattended processing). If this could be automated it would allow a customer to always have fresh data in their staging environment.

I wonder if someone has some best practices or even scripts to share from automating this.

This is for CLM 5.0.2 and 6.0.1.

Questions:
* What scripting language was used
* How did you handle timing (such as waiting for server rename or reindexing to finish on all apps)
* How did you handle the risk of errors occurring?

 Hi Erik

Automating Server Rename is currently not available.

As you are aware, user has to follow the steps mentioned in this URI manually to move the Production data to staging server.
