Hi Team,

I need to make Actual Time Spent field as a mandatory in Support Request Editor Presentations, after making Actual Time Spent field as a mandatory, without giving the time it's won't be save and give error on pop-up window.

Hi Rohit,

Thanks for your answer,its helps me alot to make a mandatory field.
But now i am facing some issue related to the same. When i am making actual time spent as a mandatory field, i am getting error "Could not save work item. Time remaining is not valid". Please help me on this and suggest me how to proceed.

RTC supports two modes

  1. Time Spent
  2. Time remaining

If you use the time remaining mode, you have to make sure that the numbers add up. RTC takes the time in the Estimate field (or the corrected Estimate, if you provide one) and the time spent is Estimate-Remaining (in the time spent attribute). If that calculation fails e.g. goes negative, you see that error.

open project area->Go to Process configuration-> operations Behavior

On right hand side select workitem save operation, select 'required propert'y from 'preconditions' section and from category or type' section select type of workitem to want to make it mandatory. and do edit .
