how to deliver source code from DOORS

 I am new to this environment, all i need to know is how can i maintain a repository for source code. I will checkin/deliver the source code to customer by specifying the version, Customer can take/check out it.

I searched and what i am getting is we can check in or check out only through eclipse, is it so? without eclipse can we deliver it directly?

Please help me with this source control and version control !!

I have a doubt in this article. 
If X uploaded a document say DOC in stream, then Y has downloaded the DOC and modified and again uploaded the DOC in the stream. I can able to see the the differences between X's DOC and Y's DOC. My doubt is can i able to download X's DOC at any time(even Y's DOC updated in stream) .

Please provide your help.

Doors is for Requirements Management, not for SCM.
Rational Team Concert provides SCM, if you have the required developer license. You need a client to use SCM properly. Available Clients:

  • Windows Shell Integration
  • Eclipse client
  • Visual Studio client
  • SCM Command Line

The only thing available in the RTC Web UI, as far as I know, is to download a file with locking and to upload a changed one.
