CRRTC3538W: Server Version Failed error while Starting JBE

Chandra Surya Prakash (111) | asked Jan 05 '16, 6:16 a.m.
Hi,

I have been trying to start JBE with the command

jbe -vm C:\RTC-BuildSystem-Toolkit-Win-3.0\jazz\buildsystem\buildengine\eclipse\jdk\bin\java -repository https://igartc03.swg.usma.ibm.com/jazz -userId chandrasuryaprakashn@in.ibm.com -pass work4cis -engineId engine1

and the error that comes is Your client version is 3.0 and server version is 5.0.2 followed by below line
CRRTC3529I: Completed JBE execution, RC=1.

The same command works for my colleague without any error and JBE is started.

Hello Chandra,
The message is saying that your Build Engine is 3.0.
Checki with your colleague which Build Engine he has installed on his machine.

And tell him to upgrade to the 5.0.x version matching the RTC version on the server.
