Can email sent to work item owners when an approval is overdue be turned off? If so which personal Mail Configruation option or server configruation will do it? Which email template is used for these emails?

Work item owners are receiving emails like the one below, when an approval is overdue.  Can this be turned off?  If turned off does that turn off all late notices, to owners and approvers?  There is an Email Configuration option for "Email me approval changes that affect me."  Does this option control these "late notice" emails?  And finally which email template controls the formatting for these late notices?

Using version 5.01 of RTC.

This does exist - we have used it. At this point, too, there are some of these emails that go out when they should not. (The approval is already completely approved or rejected, removed, or the work item removed.)

Pretty bold to down vote an 2 year old answer, for no reason.

As far as I can tell, there is no built in Overdue Approval mail sending capability in RTC. This is most likely a custom asynchronous task. It likely has no way to be suppressed by a user and there is no visible mail template for it.

See: Due Date Notifier – an Asynchronous Task Example for how this is created.

Not bold... based on what you wrote... I thought perhaps 2 years ago you didn't know about this. Approval/reviewer/verifier email with a due date... auto email reminders. The function has been there longer than that. I was completely dumbfounded reading that you wrote this.

Bye the way, no offense. I'm just looking for answers where I don't need to rewrite the application to make things work. IBM sells the product as SO enterprise ready and it isn't in our experience with only 7K users on 375 project areas.
