Now I have defined a new Master-PA and allows them to share with other project areas.

Then I defined another PA which use the shared process of the Master PA.

Which things will be shared if I change something in the Master PA and when ? Are there any runnings jobs necessary to share the content ?

 Hi Katrin,

When you change something in the Master PA, it will replicate automatically in the child PA.

All configurations that are stored in the Process Configuration Source level will be consumed by the child PA.

The following elements are inherited:

  • Configuration data (applies to Change and Configuration Management and Quality Management only)
  • Iteration types
  • Operation preconditions and follow-up actions (applies to Change and Configuration Management and Quality Management only)
  • Permissions
  • Roles
The following elements are not inherited:
  • Administrators
  • Members and their role assignments
  • Process description
  • Project area artifacts, such as work items, queries, plans, plan views, reports, test cases, and files under source control
  • Project area links
  • Releases
  • Timelines and iterations
  • Work item category associations (applies to Change and Configuration Management and Quality Management only)
