Edit Present "Hide if empty" problem

I set a text field Edit Presentation "Hide if Empty", but it is still visible when I remove all content in the text field. And it still be invisible after I write workItem.setValue(fieldAttribute, null)  to make the field value empty.

 Anyone can give me an advise how I can make the field invisilbe when the field value is empty or "" using RTC-SDK in plain java.

Where are you seeing the empty field ? Web UI or Eclipse ?
Which version of RTC Eclipse are you using ?
