What are the supported Eclipses versions for RTC 6.0

michael entler (171226) | asked Oct 08 '15, 5:30 p.m.

It appears as though there are downloads for Eclipse 3.6 and 4.2,an eclipse extension download and a P2 option, but I'm not finding official documentation that states what versions of eclipse will work.

I did find this:

https://jazz.net/library/article/1389

We are looking to do standard automated deployment package(s) with WAS 8 integration. We are going from RTC 3.x to 6.x and have a fair number of developers we want to switch over and minimize work impact (this is the main reason we are still on 3.x to avoid impact to development).

This leads to the second question:

is it possible to complete and 64 bit install of RTC 6.0 Eclipse (luna/mars/kepler) with WAs and then simply compy that to a new system (assuming same folder structure). Or does this require some installation/configuration process?

Thank you, kindly

Hi Michael,

The CLM 6.0 requirements are here:
https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/CLMSystemRequirements60

If you select RTC and check the Prerequisites tab, you can see that the supported versions are:

3.6.2
3.7.2
4.2.2
4.3.2
4.4

I'm not sure I understand your second question - you mention the 64-bit RTC Eclipse with WAS. Are you looking to migrate a server, or move and Eclipse client?
