Hi,

Is it possible to search work items across projects using quick search in RTC. i.e. locate a work item in project b while working in project a.

Currently I can can only search across projects using the ID of the work item.  However, if I try and search using the name (summary) of a work item, I cannot locate it unless it is in the same project area.

Is this expected behavior?

Thank-you,
Kind regards,
Michael Alberda

Hi Michael,
Quick search scope is limited to current project area only.

Hi Michael,
It was already asked yesterday on the forum. Please follow this link: How to search work items across project areas.

I am closing this topic as a duplicate.

Hi Krzysztof,

Thank-you for the response. However does this apply for the quick search function in Rational team concert? I was aware that we cannot create a custom query across proejcts, however, we currently only require this for quick search.

Thank-you,
Kind regards,
Michael.
