How to re-enable ADMIN user login?

Michael Stucchi (1368) | asked Sep 03 '15, 1:33 p.m.
JAZZ DEVELOPER
My configuration :
CLM 6.0.1 M3
WAS 8.5.5.6
RHEL 6.6
DB2 10.1.0.4 on AIX 7100-03
Authentication is IBM bluepages LDAP

The reason I am asking this is I run automated testing which requires the ADMIN login.  The ADMIN user must be hidden in the JTS as it doesn't appear in my user or archived user list.

I followed the below directions but my ADMIN user is still not enabled on my server.

The technote is applicable only when you're using the built-in Tomcat User Management, so it will not work if you are using WAS and LDAP.

Why do you want the ADMIN user to be re-enabled? You can easily assign the JazzAdmins repository role to any user account if you have full control over the WAS server, which I assume is the case.

If you really need to make the user account "ADMIN" work in your configuration, you need to configure the WAS server to use federated user repository (file based + LDAP), and add the user "ADMIN" to the file based part of the repository (I understand that you cannot do anything about the LDAP server as it is a corporate one). It's quite a challenge to set this up if you are not experienced with WAS, so it may not be worth of all your effort, unless you absolutely need the exact "ADMIN" user account.
