Converting from Oracle 10 -> Oracle 11

Mahari Hill (4861184230) | asked Aug 07 '15, 6:47 a.m.
CLM 4.0.6
WAS 8.5
Oracle 10

We have installed Oracle 11 on a new machine. We need to migrate from 10 to Oracle 11 before moving to 5.x/6.x. What steps need to happen to migrate to the new DB server?

I'm thinking:
  1. Backup/Restore DB on new machine
  2. Shutdown server
  3. Edit the text files in JAZZHOME/server/conf to point to the new DB
  4. Start server
Am I missing something?

Hi Mahari,
Here is the procedure:
  1. Stop CLM server.

  2. Upgrade your database. If you have any issues with this step, then refer to your DBA admin or to your DBA vendor support.

  3. If you have changed database server or port, modify <your-server-installation>/server/teamserver.properties to point to the new database.

  4. Start your CLM server.
Let us know if that helped you.

Arun - the question is how to upgrade database, not how to migrate CLM solution to a new environment.
