Table of contents show malformatted headings

Tiffany Pei (139523) | asked Jul 29 '15, 9:40 p.m.
Hi,
I am using CLM 5.0.2 and my browser is Firefox 39.0. I have a module with Chinese headings and when I "Create and Print PDF Document", some headings are not formatted correctly.
It looks like this

1. XXX 3
2. YYY ................................4
3. ZZZ ................................5

I expect it to be like
1. XXX ................................3
2. YYY ................................4
3. ZZZ ................................5

From my internal audit team's point of view, the document quality is bad.

Since you mentioned about Chinese headings, are you using Firefox with Chinese set as its language?
If you set the browser language to English, the headings should be printed out normally.

Here is what my conclusion about this defect:
If browser language is set to double-byte (say Chinese, Japanese or Korean), then "Create and Print PDF Document" will print out some headings without "..............."

The problem headings have the following characteristics:
1. less than 4 ANSI characters
OR
2. less than 3 double-byte characters

Below are the workarounds:
1. set the browser language to English or non-double-bytes
OR
2. make sure all headings have at least 4 ANSI characters or at least 3 double-byte characters

I am checking and see if there is an existing workitem for this issue.

After I set browser language to English, the heading was printed out correctly with "..........", however, the words "Table of Contents" that were in Chinese are now displayed in English.

I would like to know if there is an existing workitem for this. In particular, I would like to know if there will be ifix for 5.0.2 or 6.0.

The issue is still present in DOORS Next Generation 5.0.2 ifix 6.
The issue has been fixed in DOORS Next Generation 6.0.
