My manager asked me to look into GIT. We are already using RTC. :(
So is there any benefit to GIT that we are not already getting from RTC?
I just want to ask before spending hours spinning my wheels on something that wont help me. We are trying to be automated as much as possible, and I don't want to add line commands to the process. Thanks ahead of time.... Bill |

I can't believe my manager is making me waste time looking at it when we have so many other options in place. But then, it is always about the money. ;) |

Hi William,
I made a research on this and GIT and RTC have quite equivalent pros and cons but you lose great integration with other resources (build, work itens, etc) by not using RTC. Bellow are some links comparing them. Also, I suggested you to search about global configuration. It's a new component that will permit configuration management at all applications. It's a huge pro for using all rational suite.
