Dead Link 4.0.6 Client
I'm trying to install the 4.0.6 client. I set up the repository to download from https://jazz.net/downloads/clm/4.0.6/4.0.6/install-repository/clm-offerings/repository/repository.config but then get failures that it can't access https://jazz.net/downloads/clm/4.0.6/4.0.6/install-repository/clm-offerings/repository/repository.xml. When I load that url in a browser I get a dead link.
I'd already tried installing the 4.0.7 client but on start up it gave me a message saying that it is incompatible with our 4.0.6 server. Can anyone help me get back on track installing the 4.0.6 client? Thanks, Eric |

It works for me. I can complete all the steps without any errors (I actually canceled the installation when IM started downloading the bits from jazz.net).
How did you get the failing URL by the way? Comments

With that failure I decided to try installing by way of the IBM Installation Manager. When I press the install button i get the message

Now here's what's kinda strange. On another Ubuntu 14.04 VM I went through a series of installations. First I tried V6. I installed but when I tried to connect I got an error saying that it was incompatible with the 4.0.6 server. So next I installed 4.0.7 which was the closest version available on the downloads site. I got the same error. So I asked in these forums for a 4.0.6 version, downloaded it and it installed.

I installed and uninstalled V6 before installing V 4.06. This time the install succeeded. When I installed version six the installer asked me for my login which the other versions had not. I guess that information was cached. Incidentally I did the installs as user, not root.
