I am upgrading to 6.0ifix001 from 5.0.2. I would like to know if it is possible to perform these two steps in parael: upgrade to 6.0 and then install ifix001. Is that possible?

I asked the same question when we were upgrading to 5.0.2.  By the time we started ifix3 was available.  I was given the answer that it is ok to have ifix "at the ready" even though you might have just installed your application(s) and not yet started.

Yes it is supported.  Just no hotfix + ifix.

I would say it's preferable to have the iFix installed with the patch mechanism to have the additional fixes available during migration to 6.0 already.
