High Availability for RTC/RQM

Vidya Jothiraman (3313) | asked Jul 20 '15, 2:29 a.m.

Hi

We are having RTC 5.0.2 in our environment. (Setup on WAS and Db2) As part of BCP setup, we are planning for High availability (with clustering for WAS and load balancer) and HADR for DB2. Will RTC/RQM support this HA technology. ie automatic takeover to happen with WAS and DB2 in case of primary going down.

Also we are planning to have this secondary server in a different location (so different gateway). I suppose latest version of load balancer supports this.

Would appreciate your inputs on this.

Vidya

As far as I can tell, we tried to support clustering in version 4.x but due to the CCM server caching, this did not help with performance at all and is very expensive to run and deploy. So currently we don't suggest to run Jazz applications in a clustered environment.
