Unable to save snaphot for test plan

Markus Farnung (141017) | asked Jun 18 '15, 5:24 a.m.
I want to save a snaphot of a test plan. After pushing the button "Create New Snaphot" RQM shows the error message:
Unable to save snapshot for Test Plan
'Snapshot Test Plan' failed.

How can I get to know why the snapshot can not be saved? What can be the root cause of this problem?

Is there a "show details" link on the error message?
Is there anything written to the qm.log file on the server?

In addition to Piotr's comment, can you please provide the version of RQM you are currently using?

Markus Farnung commented Jun 18 '15, 7:56 a.m.

There is no "show detail link".
The version we are using is 5.0.2.

I wanted to attach a screenshot, but I get the error message:
sorry, file uploading requires reputation >60

Can you bring up the browser console to see if there is more info on the exception from the service request?

Markus,

Does the Project Area in question have Test Artifacts : Name Uniqueness enabled (Administration -> Manage This Project Area : Test Artifacts -> Types Name Uniqueness)?

Hello Ara Masrof,
yes. The name uniqueness is enabled for all types of test artifacts.

ok. But is there a workaround for 5.0.2?
Can we get a backport of the bugfix for 5.0.2?

Please open a PMR with the support team (reference the defect listed in this thread) and request a backport

That will begin the process of getting the defect backported to the 502 iFix stream
