May I copy a workitem type including a copy of type category, workitem editor, workflow, etc?

I am using RTC 5.0.2

I want to create a new workitem type based on the "Epic" workitem, just making few changes to some sections.

I don't want to create everything from scratch, I would love to have a way to create a copy and just making the few changes I need on the new one.

 Yes, you can. 

However you need to do some copy and paste with the "Process Configuration Source". Basically you need find and duplicate everything you want to "reuse". Remember to change the ids to unique strings.
