Hi,

Pretty much the same question as previously asked one.
https://jazz.net/forum/questions/179142/purpose-of-timelines-and-process-description-in-dng-502

But does anyone know a way to associate any artifacts on /rm to the rm timeline??
Or as it is mentioned in the page above, it is simply there because DNG uses the same project area managing component as RTC and RQM??
If anyone know about any usage of timeline with artifacts/modules, could you please give me a tip??

Regards,

Hi Kazuki.
The answer provided in the referenced question is correct. There is no support for timelines in DNG.
DNG does however have the concept of baselines that can be used to snapshot the state of artifacts, and with the introduction of DNG 6.0, there is now support for configuration management that may provide what you're looking for (you didn't really specify what you want to accomplish with timelines).
You might want to take a look here for the new configuration management support: Administering configurations
