How do I upgrade & migrate from 1.0 to 2.0
We have RTC 1.0 Standard running on a Windows server, and its SQL database is running on a seperate, common, SQL server.
I need to upgrade to 2.0, and am looking for the most efficient method. Combining RTC Server and SQL onto the same system is not an option. In our development environment I have been running the reptools -export command (on the RTC server) to export the database, which is about 3.5GB, and it has been running for over 3 hours and the tar file is only 600MB so far. How long will this take running across the network? Our production environment has an 18.5GB database, and I can't have a couple of days downtime. Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated. |

Thanks, but how do I install and configure only the reptools on the SQL server?

Since this is just a temporary installation for running repotools, you might find it easier to just use the zip download (which is only ~190 MB). Once it's unzipped, you need only edit the teamserver.properties to point to your database, put the SQL Server JDBC jar under the server/sqlserver directory, and you're ready to run repotools.
