1.0.1.1 -> 2.0 Template Migraton question
Hello,
is it possible to migrate the an older process template (SCRUM, OpenUp) of a 1.0.1.1 to 2.0 migrated project to an actual version of the process template ? I have RTC 2.0 server and client now, but still the old SCRUM process template. I want to get the new SCRUM process template for me allready running project from 1.0.1.1. Thanks in advance. Sigi |

FORUM ADMINISTRATOR / FORUM MODERATOR / JAZZ DEVELOPER I have RTC 2.0 server and client now, but still the old SCRUM The Process team is currently compiling a set of recommendations for manually upgrading an existing 1.0.x Scrum project to the 2.0 Scrum content, but this is not yet ready. In the meantime, I would strongly recommend against copying the new specification into your project area. It will almost certainly break things. -- Jared Burns Jazz Process Team |

No, there currently is no way to automatically upgrade a project area
with the revised content of the template from which it was created. The best you can currently do is probably cut and paste the process description source to the project (but be forewarned that some information, such as icons, are not contained in the process description source, so you might need to do some additional operations). What about a running project area that have the old template as base and the RTC server was upgraded to the Version 2.0. Is there a way to get this project area migrated to the new template from RTC 2.0 ?

You cannot import into a 2.0 repository a template that has been
exported from a 1.0 repository. But when you upgraded your 1.0 repository to be a 2.0 repository, that upgrade process would have updated the format of the 1.0 templates in that repository. So you can then export that template from your 2.0 repository, which allows you then to import that template into other 2.0 repositories. Cheers, Geoff oesterreicher wrote: Hello, |
