Is there Javascript API for RTC Gadget/Widget development?

I've done several gadget developments using Javascript API in extending for DNG and found it very useful for our works. I also have the need of creating such extended gadget/widget/viewlet & add it to my personal dashboard or project dashboard in RTC. Does RTC support this kind of extension? Is there any RTC Javascript API and reference document avaliable?
