Want to mass update workitems

Phil Petherbridge (121) | asked Jun 10 '09, 4:07 p.m.
I am look for some way to select a set of workitems (retrospectives) and process the workflow (which I customized) without having to open and process each work item individually.

I was told there is no way to select many workitems and process the workflow from the project plan or a workitem query in the RTC Client. I am running version 1.0.1.

Is there any way to get access to the DB2 data for a set of workitems and update their workflow trough an API or some backend facility.

I assume that you mean by "process the workflow" you want to execute a
workflow action on multiple work items.
You can do this easily in the Work Item query result view (both Eclipse
and Web UI).
Here a short description for the Eclipse UI:
On the "Status" column open the context menu. There is one item:
"Change Status" with the list of available workflow actions as
subitems. The set of possible actions is determined by the state of the
first work item in the selection.
