Defined team areas not kept when creating a process template
(Using RTC 1.0.1.1)
I would like to customize my process with pre-defined team areas. So I went to the "Work Items Categories" tab and defined all the "team areas" there. But when I create a new process template based on that Proj.Area where I did the customization, those team areas are lost (no kept on the new proc.template). Is this a bug? Or works as designed? Want to double check with the community to see if I am doing anything wrong or I should open a defect/change request to the Rational team. Thanks Claudia |

I also couldn't find a way to initialize in a project template the
association between the categories and the team areas. I've submitted work item 86119 for this. Cheers, Geoff ccalleg wrote: I've found a way to partially do this: instead of creating the |
I've found a way to partially do this: instead of creating the categories and team areas in the "Work Items Categories" tab, I've defined them within the "Process Configuration" tab (Project Area Initialization --> Setup project & Create Team Areas options).
In this way when I create a process template this information is kept, so the next project area based on this proc.template will be initialized with this info. The only I'm missing in this initialization is the ASSOCIATION between the categories and the team areas. Is there any way to keep this info? I believe the inizialization process is not considering this association... Can anybody clarify this? Thanks in advance, Claudia Callegari |
Team areas and work item categories are not included when a template is created from a project.
