Want to generate a report of story and its childrens

Santhosh Thenmozhi Rajendran (711910) | asked Jun 04 '09, 2:30 p.m.
Hi,

I am using BIRT to generate custom reports, I have a task to generate a report with following fields,
ID, Story summary, childrens of that story.

I can generate a query which gives me the result, but I couldn't find a snapshot which has the details to generate it in a report. I tried in "WorkItem_snapshot" and browsed through all the tables but couldn't find the column which contains the children data.

Any help will be appreciated.

Is there any out-of-box way to convert a jazz query to a report?

Thanks,
Sany

Sany, unfortunatly, you won't be able to do that in 1.0.1.1.

This was a feature we were asked to implement in 2.0.

Hi Sany,

Are you using a 2.0 beta, milestone, or release candidate? If so, check
out our example report called "Story Child Work Items.rptdesign". It's
in the "live" folder of com.ibm.team.examples.reports.common. It does
almost exactly what you're looking for. I assume you're looking for live
(up-to-date) data rather than historical data from the warehouse.
