How to implement two Work Item be Automatic reflection

Feng Hong (241814) | asked Mar 02 '15, 1:29 a.m.
There are two work item (one is Defect and other one is Issue), if taking a scenario as below, is it possible to make these two Work Items be automatic reflection? If so, what's the procedure to make it happens?
Scenario:
1. Update Work Item "Defect 1001"
2. Add another work item "Issue 1002" by click Link tab ->Add Related.
3. Save Work Item "Defect 1001".
4. Expect the value of a specific attribute in Defect1001 is automatically copied to the "Issue 1002".

If it is impossible to implement it, any advice with alternative workaround will be much appreciated.

You would have to create an extension like this: https://rsjazz.wordpress.com/2012/07/ that follows the relationship you want and then updates the other item.
