"project-timeline" and behaviour in work items

Ratheesh Madathil (1371728) | asked Feb 20 '15, 11:56 a.m.
Hello,
As of now we can only set one time line as project time line.
Of course we have with in a single project area multiple team areas which is really operating on a different time line.

Now the funny thing is with the settings "Set as project time line", in every work item "Planned For" field, you will get only the iterations that are under the project time line regardless of which team the WI belong to.
But if the work item belongs another team which really has a separate time line, the planned for should show the respective team iterations.

How can we come over it? Or is this covered in an enhancement request which is upcoming.

I have never seen this in the past. In fact I have seen people complaining, that you can see all timelines in a project area in the selection dialog and not only the ones that belong to the team that own the work item (as set by the category).

What version and client do you talk about?
